    Wine is a hot mess and I am pretty appalled Apple has sunk to using Wine to get games on the Mac. I looked at using Wine to 'port' a Win32 application and there were so many problems it was easier to just tell users to run Parallels.

    Unless you own a Garmin product, you don't realize what a chaotic, messy, and buggy eco-system it is. If you can live with that, fine. But there is no comparison to the full on "apple" experience of an Apple Watch and the tight, clean integration of WatchOS and iOS.

    Exactly, it's catering to a tiny, tiny fraction of the community and I think is more motivated by a misguided desire to poke big tech in the face.
    Interesting farm equipment is exempted. Not everyone knows, but farmers get royally screwed over by the manufacturers. They are forced to pay $$$$ and wait , often a long time, for their equipment to be fixed. Obviously the lobbyists for the farm equipment companies were busy!

    Apple Maps has EV routing, but the key to the above enhancement to CarPlay is linking to the **actual** state of charge. That requires the changes to the manufacturers interface to CarPlay to provide that information.

    Anyone who has bought USB-C cables on Amazon knows what garbage is out there. Apple is simply trying to prevent a poor user experience when using non certified cables. The foolish EU bureaucrats just don't get it.
