  • Malicious Mac and iOS apps could have listened in on Siri conversations

Watch this get reported by the media as "your iPhone could have been listening to you" without the nuance of "a malicious app could have been listening to your Siri requests if the app had access to Bluetooth and you were making those Siri requests over Bluetooth".

  • Australian union calls for Apple Store strike over pay and benefits

Unions had their time, way back in the day when they were needed but there is so much regulation and employees rights these days, unions are redundant. They just can't help themselves pushing benefits beyond what is fair and reasonable. Little wonder they get such a bad wrap, or businesses simply closing and moving off shore, in the case of manufacturers.

I read the demands of the unions and they are so out of touch with reality. This is simply gouging. They are dreamers and it is almost offensive to read. Wow, if the workers got all of those demands, they would be laughing (but probably no less happy), but costs would balloon. It isn't just a couple of isolated items here, they are absolutely shooting for the stars and beyond, hoping to get to the moon but this so typical of unions. Out of touch with reality. Greedy. Not conducive to a fair and balanced solution. Yes, Apple makes billions but that doesn't mean you gouge them. I full support companies doing a profit share of some sort for every employee but not to this level of ridiculousness.
Yeah, all those people working at the new "satanic mills" of Amazon and  worse, for example, the meat packing and slaughter house industries don't need protection because their bosses just have their best interests at heart. Unless workers organize and protect their rights, there will be bad actors that will abuse and exploit them.

  • Ming-Chi Kuo says iPhone production cut report is 'weird'

Yup whoever made this ridiculous report of lowered iPhone 14 orders go viral just made a killing short-selling AAPL. The genius!

  • Apple said to be scaling back production of entire iPhone 14 range

Reports about cutting iPhone production come out every year.

    Why? Because it works.

The stock drops steeply, those “leaking” the “news” make money on their short positions, and then the news disappears into the mist, forgotten.

Sometimes there are even reports from other analysts stating that no such data exists in their analyses of the supply chain.

Once Apple itself cautioned against trying to interpret supply chain “intelligence”.

But every year it’s the same old thing and people trade stock based on it.

Liars manipulate the market because it’s profitable.

    And they are never prosecuted.

But they should be. The price manipulators cost those saving for retirement a great deal.
So true. These scumbags must sit around and decide the time is ripe for another "Apple is doomed" rumor. Push it out on semi-reputable feeds like Bloombergs,  reap the rewards, and laugh all the way to the bank. They only need a small dip to make serious $.
