Robbery victim tracks thief with AirTag, gets broken nose
You need to understand the principle of the "Leviathan". The "Leviathan" is law enforcement. If two people get into a confrontation then the only thing stopping things escalating is "fear of consequences" from the Leviathan. It's at the basis of society that prevents anarchy. Whenever there is no fear of or trust in the Leviathan then you get chaos and violence. Yeah and Joe-schmo blasting away with a gun at a coffee shop is more likely to kill innocent people than the perpetrators. -
French iOS developers launch class action lawsuit over App Store fees
There is not a developer in the world that truly thinks Apple does not deserve their 30%. The App Store infrastructure is incredibly impressive. Money just magically turns up in your bank account, with Apple taking care of EVERYTHING. These are ambulance chasing lawyers riding the wave of "anti-tech" "anti-apple" sentiment. -
Apple Car project troubled by management demos and uncertain schedule
Apple missed the boat here, all the big traditional manufacturers are producing high quality electric cars and trucks in volume. The F150 is a game changer and the various EV's from Hyundai/KIA , VW etc are all competent enough. And at the high-end you have Rivian and Lucid. Apple cannot compete anymore. What they could do is make Apple Car Play ubiquitous as a whole car system. Self-driving will never happen outside of highly controlled environments - for example. Mercedes validates self-driving only on specific "freeways" and only on specific sections. Kill the project, it is the Newton of Apple 2022. -
Apple's 'failed' 5G modem effort means iPhone 15 will be all-Qualcomm
