Everyone has a right to be concerned about CSAM scanning. The USA has laws against child pornography therefore Apple developed this CSAM scanning thing.  Russia might enact laws against images making fun of Putin. What is to stop apple scanning for fun photos of Putin under threat of being forced out of the country. Apple just becomes an enabler of the Russian secret police. Apples privacy credibility has taken a huge hit they will not recover from.

Honestly I have to worry about stock market manipulation by certain entities.
It does not take much of a suspicious mind to imagine that knowing the verdict would be poorly reported by the tech media that one could promulgate a doom and gloom "Apple lost" to depress the stock for a few days to make a good market killing. Sure it's only a dollar here or there, but knowing it would be just a temporary slump can translate into some nice profits.

Its part of Apple Wallet, you just bring up your DL on the lock screen as you do with boarding passes, rail tickets etc. You do not unlock your phone.

Only people who have never developed an app for sale want this to happen. Apple takes care of everything for you, money just appears in your bank account. It's worth every penny.
