Anyone who has used Microsoft Remote Desktop on a Mac to connect to a remote PC will tell you that it's suprisingly fast as long as you have a decent broad band connection.
 Honestly it's often hard to tell the difference from having a real PC on your desk.

I don’t know who is pushing this foolish vanity project inside Apple but please no. You cant compete with the VW’s, GM’S etc when it comes to building cars no matter how good the car is.

It’s is simple to attach an external usb drive to the “dead” TC  and reset your time machine backup to that drive. You may have lost your old backups, but typically a TC is just a disaster recovery mechanism

So all those people who want Apple to give up control of the App Store and their 15%-30% - what do you say to this? If some other app store was allowed on iOS or Apple gave up control, you just know what would happen... malware to start with and then all of the above bad practices would be rampant. How quickly those arguments for alternative app stores just crumble.
