Another $1 million scam app surfaces amid App Store legal battles
Only a couple of years ago developers were screaming bloody murder about the slow pace of app reviews and their app being rejected! Can't have it both ways. Apple clearly , for example, has some kind of automated process for app update reviews as they get 'passed' often in a few hours. No way a human looked at the update. Let me repeat, developers can't have it both ways. A more thorough review process will cause delays in apps getting reviewed/updated. -
Lucid Motors CEO welcomes 'Apple Car' competition
Lucid will get crushed by VW and the other mainstream auto-makers because the 'old guard' know how to make cars profitably. Even with only just starting, VW already outsells Tesla in many markets with their EV's - not everyone is a Tesla jerk who needs to do 0-60 mph in 4 seconds ( usually with some obnoxious vanity plate)- consumers want quality EV's that are reasonably priced with decent range. Both the ID-3 and ID-4 meet those requirements, and more importantly, VW can make money on them. Tesla ( and by association Lucid) is facing competition from all over - the Koreans at the low end, VW at the 'premium' low end, and then BMW, Audi,Porsche at the high end with much more 'desirable' cars. -
BMW CFO says he sleeps 'very peacefully' in face of Apple Car threat
I would too. Do we really see Apple building a factory, hiring thousands of workers in , say Alabama, fighting with the UAW over unionization etc? It's laughable. Making cars is hard.
Apple can "license" their design, but all the major auto makers have already defined their electric car platforms ( like Ford/VW's MEB, BMW's CLAR etc) and would be throwing away many billions of dollars of investment to change course to use Apple's reference design.
Apple should have built a CarOS that automakers could have adopted. Android has stepped into that gap. That ship has sailed as well.
This project has been a disaster from day one. -
