Apple exploring the possibility of moving iPhone manufacturing to United States
Trump is a moron who does not having a clue - and has made America the laughing stock of the world. He is quite simply "a bad person" with no redeeming qualities. He pulled the old republican jedi mind-trick on the poor uneducated "deplorables" - they are the ones going to get completely screwed. No health care, a polluted environment, and their pickup trucks will cost more when he tears up NAFTA. Do they really think coal is coming back? No-one wants to buy their frigging coal. Remember global-warming?
Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it. Trade-wars and tariffs lead to international conflict and never lead to an improved economy.

Apple Mac shipments slide 13% in Q3 amid PC market slowdown
An iMac 27" 5K is still a pretty bitching machine - there is nothing like that in the market. And my 2013 MBP with a upgraded SSD is great.
Macs last forever - they are well made - and I think people are not seeing the real need to upgrade barring any big developments.. I sold my old iMac 2011 27" for a great price. Try and sell a 2011 PC for anything but scrap!

Apple ordered to pay $302.4M in damages to VirnetX in patent retrial
chasm22 said:fallenjt said:Apple will appeal to a higher court. This is BS to let companies file non-practice patents to make money on deep pocket corporations like Apple....Patent Trolls need to get tossed and banned from suing.
After appleinsider calls VirnetX a non-practicing entity, we should've expected a chorus full of "hell yeahs" to follow.
How about this for a non-practicing entity. How about we all march over to the app store and look at "The Gabriel Collaboration Suite". Oh yeah, take a CLOSE look at the dev.
VirnetX?? It can't be. They're 'non-practicing entity'. Either that or appleinsider has non-practicing authors and/or editors, right?

FBI paid over $1.34M for hack into San Bernardino iPhone, agency's director says
To say that $1M is money well spent if it saves one life, is complete and utter BS. The amount of money the USA spends to counter terrorism is completely out of proportion to "lives saved". We quite happily will NOT spend billions to make , say, roads and infrastructure safer, or remove guns from society. Those actions would potentially save thousands of lives every and every subsequent year for all time and be much better $ value for lives saved. -
iOS 9.3 will let IT managers define home screen layout, hide and blacklist apps
