  • T-Mobile warns of identity risk from second breach in 2023

American companies get hacked all the time, and all we get is a "my bad"
    no response from government
meanwhile government is losing its mind because tiktok monitors my viewing habbits, and knows i like big hooters and cars...

  • Epic Games vs Apple -- The continuing App Store saga

Apple shoud get whatever their cut is for the price of the game, sure
but for apple to take 30% for me to buy v-bucks that only exist in the game is just highway robbery
i am not using the apple servers, or infrastrutcure in any way for me to sell v-bucks (me being epic)
so why are they getting a cut?
same for any subscription service (netflix, spotify etc)

thankfully i think the european union will have a lot more say on this matter

  • SIM card trays may disappear from iPhone 15 in Europe

what a stupid idea,  they obviously haven't done their research
or they think that US, Europe and Australia are the entire world
almost all of africa and asia don't suport esim, including china, russia, indonesia, phillipines ets
neither do some european countres, like turkey etc

so if you do any international travel, you are screwed
unless you want to roam and pay a fortune
guess they don't want to sell phones to about 2 billion people

  • How Apple's worst value in a product will be a bestseller in 2023

Doesn't this mfi for usb-c charger violate the open source nature of usb-c standard ?
it's a standard, and as long as you abide by the standard, everything should work fine
doesnt matter if it's a laptop, tablet, or phone
without having to pay money to apple, usb-c is NOT an apple creation

if iPhones only work with an mfi cable, that by definition means they are inferior
because other phones work just fine with any usb-c charger
I've used an HP usb-c charger to charge an iPad Pro, Microsoft phone, Microsoft surface laptop, and portable car tire inflator just fine
no errors or issues or anything
