How Apple's worst value in a product will be a bestseller in 2023
Doesn't this mfi for usb-c charger violate the open source nature of usb-c standard ?
it's a standard, and as long as you abide by the standard, everything should work fine
doesnt matter if it's a laptop, tablet, or phone
without having to pay money to apple, usb-c is NOT an apple creation
if iPhones only work with an mfi cable, that by definition means they are inferior
because other phones work just fine with any usb-c charger
I've used an HP usb-c charger to charge an iPad Pro, Microsoft phone, Microsoft surface laptop, and portable car tire inflator just fine
no errors or issues or anything -
iPhone 15 Ultra: What it may look like, and what to expect in 2023
I'm not buying the iPhone 15 unless it has 8 cameras on the back.
still can't believe we need to keep adding cameras with each new model, they really have run out of ideas
I wish they would get over the obsession of making the phones so thin and having the camera stick out.
how about a thicker phone with flush camera and a bigger battery? -
Microsoft's next event is around when the Mac & iPad event is expected
coolfactor said:I wish Apple would get back to surprising us with new products, not just iterations.
the last like 4 updates were oh guess what, we have 2 cameras, 3 cameras, more megapixels! (lie) etc
actually the surface laptop is a great machine, been using one for about 2 years for work, zero issues, great battery, great screen, great speakers
just wish it had more regular USB ports, not sure why those are dying when 95% of accessories still use them
only thing i don't like about the surface is that damn proprietary charging cable, but i realized on most of the new ones, you can also charge with a USB-C charger

EU will force Apple & Google to allow third-party app stores, payment services
EU imposed its rules on Microsoft with windows media player
just like china imposes rules on apple to sell in china, I think iCloud has to be hosted in China for Chinese phones
Just like France had that headphone (or was it charger) rule with iPhones
I think it should be a switch to allow side loading, if you turn it on, you get a message that your warranty will be voided,
If a sideloaded app somehow damages your phone, why should apple be financially liable ?
