iPhone Fold will dominate the market despite 2026 arrival
As a former owner of the Microsoft surface duo, surface duo 2, and now the google pixel fold.
folding screens are a gimmick.
i rarely open up my google fold, usually just to show people how it opens.
sounds great as a concept, but not usable in daily life.
what you do get is a bulky single screen phone, with amazing battery life, to be fair
unless you are the type of person that likes watching their media on a tiny screen with crappy audio
then this was made for you .
i prefer to watch media on a TV, or at least an iPad -
TikTok builds new US app version ahead of planned sale
"Due to the laws in China, data stored on servers in that country can be requested by the Chinese government —"
same applies on all date stored in the US
except here the data is sold to data brokers, and the government gets it from there
so ,on paper at least, they are not asking the social media companies directly for your data
i personally would much prefer the chinese having my data than the americans, since i live in the US
US government can cause me a lot more pain while living here
than the chinese can
the whole beauty of tiktok was it was different content than the American social media companies
if this is a US tiktok, whats the point?

Apple stocks plummet, as Trump threatens 104% tariff on China
DAalseth said:Important point to keep in mind: Trump will never admit that he was wrong. No matter how much damage he does, no matter how bad things get, Trump will never even consider that he was mistaken.
they will defend him to the death
they are too invested in him now, and if they ever admit he is bad
its a negative reflection on them for not seeing it sooner
this is the opposite of quit when you are ahead strategy
this is the i will dig myself deeper so i don't look bad strategy

Trump's solution to the TikTok predicament is 'TikTok America'
Bottom line is
will the US government be able to control the platform or not.?
Forget the whole it's controlled by Chinese government BS
US government hates TikTok because they don't have the same control over it like they do on the American social media companies
and they can't control the pro Palestinian content on it like they can on Facebook and Instagram
