Does anyone know if this can be used with a PC?
This is the LG 5K in an aluminum shell.
This is nothing like the LG 5K display - not sure why people feel compelled to spout such nonsense.
You're right, it's got an Apple logo on it it SMH. It's a modest update to the LG 5K which came out SIX YEARS AGO!
Amazing - without even seeing the display or more details about it, it's automatically the same panel in the existing LG 5K?  There is no reason for them to not change it at all?

    You people are ridiculous!

Except that it is a 5K 27” panel made by LG, so it is something like it.
It's A panel made by LG - LG doesn't offer the coatings Apple does.
    LG isn't offering the camera.
    LG isn't offering the speakers.
LG isn't offering the connectivity options.
And yes, LG isn't offering the stand options either.

But yeah, other than that, they are completely the same :open_mouth:

Probably usable, but you'll have difficulty adjusting any settings because there won't be any buttons, and Apple will only ship control software with macOS.
That's a good point.  I wonder if they will add boot camp support for it for the Intel Macs that are already shipping.  If so, then you can always extract the windows control panel from the bootcamp assistant.  Will be something to watch for!

    They lost me at 27”
By far the most popular size.  I was hoping for at least 30", but I get why they stuck with 27" for this one - the $1500 price point is pretty amazing and I'm sure they wouldn't have been anywhere near that if they went with a larger panel :pensive:

Sure - whether you can get 5K will depend on your video card and motherboard.  If you don't have a video card with Thunderbolt built in, look closely at your motherboard - many motherboards have a display port input so you can get the output from your video card through the Thunderbolt controller on your motherboard.  Many people don't realize their motherboards can do this - heck I have an Asus Maximus board that I didn't realize had a Displayport input for this; I just assumed it was an out if you had a CPU with integrated graphics.  Ha!
