I didn't vote for another entity to place their vote... I voted for the president... oh well...
Doing a pure popular vote would give states with large populations too much power. Small states would be powerless and voiceless.

Not sure how Apple could manufacture products in the U.S. in the near term with virtually it's entire supply chain in Asia... That would require long term planning.
