  • President Trump insists he was saving time by calling Cook 'Tim Apple'

I got news for you. GOOD leaders have a sense of humor, and can laugh at themselves when they make trivial mistakes like that. Obama did. W and HW did. Reagan did. Trump does not. To quote David Ogden Steirs, who ended up on Nixon's enemies list for his membership in a satiric comedy troupe: "Never trust anyone who has no sense of humor."
In James Comey's book, A Higher Loyalty. a quote about a private meeting with Donald: "I don't recall seeing him laugh, ever. Not during small talk before meetings. Not in a conversation. Not even here, during an ostensibly relaxed dinner. I wondered if others had noticed it or if in thousands of hours of video coverage, he had ever laughed."

  • Developers must disclose screen recording analytics tools or face expulsion from App Store...

I thank Apple (and will continue to buy their products) for working to protect my, and my family's, privacy.

Kids apps are particularly insidious it seems. [Facebook! Shame!]

I don't want my life to be tracked for money in another man's pocket.

  • Apple says half of all iOS devices are now running iOS 12

I'm a 10.2.1 hold-out. I've been burned too many times through the years, after installing an 'upgrade' that effectively stopped some apps from working the way they did... or at all.

    [It's all about revenue-churn, right?]

I don't care to take the chance anymore, unless a 'killer app' appears, that I need and/or lust for, and requires the newer iOS.

I'll get the latest iOS when I upgrade my 2-year-old iPhone 7 Plus (that I love, FYI), probably in a couple years.

  • Comparing the 2018 15-inch 2018 MacBook Pro with the Dell XPS 15 9570

The ideal high-end laptop for me:

Dell XPS 15  that runs Mac OS, doesn't have that stupid LCD touchbar, and has all the ports I want so I don't need to carry a wad of adapters.

Perhaps Tim should buy Michael's company and combine the best...

  • Apple refreshes MacBook Pro with six-core processors, 32GB of RAM

I wish I could buy one for $300 less... without the cost of the Touch Bar. I really dislike that thing. I'm not quite sure why.

I'm presuming Apple has fixed the keyboard. (I hope.) And I also want MagSafe back! There is no excuse; make it happen.
