  • YouTube TV to cancel subscriptions purchased through Apple in-app payments in March

This is likely linked to the recent YouTube changes in terms that we got a chance to read this week. I actually skimmed thru them. Looks like YouTube has been turned into a separate LLC, now controlled by Alphabet. As such they are likely looking at ways to be self-funding instead of sucking at Google's teat, and part of that is maximizing subscription profit.  As such they want to cast off Apple's 30% fee for purchases thru the Apple App Store. It's annoying to Apple product users, but straightforward from a business perspective.

  • Google Maps turns 15, rolls out new app features

I just updated the Google Maps app on my iPhone and nothing's changed. There's still no Saved, Contribute, or Updates tab. Is anyone else seeing them?

  • iPhone 11 Pro said to emit twice the FCC's legal limit for RF radiation

Hey, AI, why no link to where you found out about this story? I want to find out more about what they were testing; did this emissions finding only occur doing voice calls or does it happen all the time when the phone is just being used for data? Because you have no link, I went to RF Exposure Lab's website on my own and didn't find any reports; it seems they only let you read what they did if you pay them. As such, I'd discount their "finding" until we can examine their testing methodologies and their actual claims.

  • Blix trying to get other 'Sherlocking' victims to fight Apple in court

    mjtomlin said:

Blix did not invent anonymous email address generation and forwarding. In fact, there are many other apps and services that offer this same feature. Creating an anonymous email address to hide your main address is not a new idea.

Then it should be a slam-dunk for Apple in court; show previous art and ask for dismissal.

  • EU lawmakers snub Apple's pleas, overwhelmingly vote to push for charging cable standard

the dictatorship known as the EU
Considering half the US government is defending their "a president can do no wrong" leader at all costs and in spite of all logic and law, much like a king, you might not want to be casting this stone from the glass house in which you live.

The EU is not needed and is not relevant in the big scheme of things.
The EU is larger than the US. You might want to learn of what you speak before you post.
