The OP was clearly not mocking Docker, but rightly calling out this article about software that most ordinary Mac users will never have heard of. AI didn't bother to explain what Docker is or why it should matter to anyone. As such it's a poorly constructed article.

You don't say where "here" is, but in the EU the retail price would also always include ~20% VAT, right?

(In the USA posted prices never include sales tax, because sales taxes are a combination of state and local rates that can vary widely by locality. The range is from 0% in New Hampshire, to over 9% in Tennessee.)

"Nearly identical" seems like an oversimplification. I think the proper summation would be that the M1 MBP's internal layout is similar to that of the internal version. The batteries appear the same. The M1 MBP motherboard is different from a component standpoint, but it sits within the same footprint. The cooling fan appears the same, but its heat pipe to the SOC is slightly different to match the size and placement of the M1 SOC.
