SwitchBot Smart Switch Button Pusher review: A small way to make a basic button smart
22july2013 said:macmaverickk said:Jfc are people that helpless that they can’t install a regular smart switch? This thing is hilarious.
I'm curious about options, as this looks like it only works with a specific type of switch that is probably more common in the US than here. -

'Resident Evil 4' unleashes horror on iPhone 15 Pro, iPad, and Mac on December 20
Honkers said:Cool how it's universal across iOS and Mac, but still a bit sucky how it's App Store exclusive. I wonder if they'll end up on Steam eventually.
For a lot of games, Steam lets you download the Windows and/or Mac version, where available, but it looks like Resident Evil isn't working that way. For instance, I have a couple of the recent Tomb Raiders[ that are cross-platform from Steam, and Return to Monkey Island.
I also picked up the original version of RE4 a while back when it was on special for about A$5, but I find that unplayable. It has controller support, but it doesn't really work very well, and keyboard and mouse is just awkward to use. At least the RE2 and RE3 re-releases fixed a lot of the UI problems, so I expect RE4 to do the same.

Man's small iPhone order turns into $100,000 iPhone 15 Pro Max mix-up
ITGUYINSD said:22july2013 said:1 phone + 3 boxes does equal "4", which is a number he used on his order. That's my best partial explanation. Human error is the rest of my expectation.
He did also suggest he might sell them all, and kept showing references to laws around unsolicited deliveries (he is correct that Apple really don't have any redress here, it's their error, and he is entitled to keep the phones). Personally, I'd be tempted to take them back to Apple to curry favour with them, but that's me. While it may be legal, keeping them and selling them on feels like a dickish move. -
M3 MacBook Pro review roundup: Incrementally better
mike eggleston said:netrox said:dutchlord said:Totally irrelevant for most users as the majority does not perceive a performance issue. So there is no compelling argument to upgrade.
Still, I'm picking up my M3 MBP from the Apple Store in a bit over 3 hours.
