    9pm here.

    1am the next day, here.

So are they going back to the 6 colour logo? Or are they just doing a retrospective on Apple logos and products? One of them looks like it's calling back to e-World.

I hope there are new Mac minis, although I'm not immediately in need of one. I'd just like them to update the line before I need to buy a new one.

  • What to expect from the Apple Watch Series 4, and when it is coming

If they don’t add a SCSI port this time round then that is IT!  I SWEAR TO GOD I’m just about very nearly almost had enough of their lack of effort for pros.

And without an Ethernet port, how am I supposed to connect to the office network?

Seriously, I'm almost regretting my Series 3 at this point. If I'd held out just another year I could have bought a Series 4 instead, and then regret not being able to get a Series 5.

  • Apple axes Back to My Mac in macOS Mojave

Actually, I never managed to get Back To My Mac to work. I couldn't work out if it was a problem with the ports on my router, my ISP, or the software itself. I use Parallels Access when I need to connect remotely, although that can be a bit clunky. I'm already paying for Parallels, and I get Access for free with that.

As I recall, a main selling point of Back To My Mac was access to your files, and now they're pushing for you to store everything in their cloud, so that need is going away. For those of us who want to actually run things, or manage our Macs remotely, there are other options that don't require Apple to manage anything themselves. What's the opposite of "Sherlocked"?

  • New MacBook Air coming by end of quarter, research firm claims

I think you are onto something there, Nunzy. I also think they could drop the cost even further by eliminating the keyboard too.
Yeah.   Screens are really over rated too.

They could just ship a slab of milled aluminium with an Apple logo on it. Unlimited battery life! 100% protection from malware! No more problems with not having the right port!

  • New MacBook Pro model with Intel Coffee Lake CPU shows up in Geekbench database

Hmm...quad core in a 13” machine. Not that I don’t believe it, but...

I’d really like quad core in a 13” machine, more than hexacore in a 15”. Do we have data on what graphics it’s running? Because, if it’s not the Iris graphics for that chip, then it probably isn’t a 13” form factor. Unless they’ve done something truly amazing with cooling.
