Complaining about Apple retail conditions is like 'writing to Santa'
I think the Apple store experience really started going downhill when they hired Angela Ahrendts to run retail. I loved going into those stores - many times I was not even interested in buying anything. They always had classes in various software programs or subjects and at times I would just sit there and watch, maybe even learn something. I miss those years. Now it's all about the iPhone - not a bad thing - but the Apple stores really felt like a part of the community. It's just a typical retail store now to me. I hardly ever go there now. Sad. -
TransUnion breached, consumers' financial information exposed
A coworker of mine discovered his identity was stolen literally just hours after someone attempted to change the address on some of his financial accounts. His financial advisor called him as the application's email address appears to be suspicious. I was in the office listening in on the phone call. He checked his credit report and found multiple pings just hours earlier opening up new accounts. It was scary to listen to his plight as banks and the post office made it so difficult to stop the theft. Thankfully, as his was caught so early, he managed to clear everything up before any real damaged occured. It was at that point I placed a freeze on all my credit reports. I never want to be on the receiving end of what happened to my coworker. These types of breaches infuriate me. Those in charge of keeping my information safe should be fined into oblivion, and those that placed security of my information second to their financial gain should be jailed. -
Apple removed over 540,000 abandoned apps from the App Store in Q3
darkvader said:Yet another reason Apple needs to be forced to open up the iPhone to user-installed apps. Not everything needs to be 'updated'. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. This is actively user hostile behavior from Apple. -

Apple Towson union files labor complaint against Apple over withholding benefits
This is ridiculous. They want to be in a union because they feel they're being treated unfairly. They negotiate for their benefits and no whine and complain like spoiled brats when non-union employees get different benefits? Will you complain when non-union employees get WORSE benefits than union employees then? Cry me a river. You want to be in a union, go right ahead. Know that everything you receive has to be negotiated, agreed, and carved into stone until the expiration down the road requires the NEXT round of negations happens down the road.I have to wonder if articles like these are just meant to troll Apple and rile people up.
