  • Man jailed for stalking ex-girlfriend with an AirTag

Scumbags using tracking devices to stalk their exes has been going on since the technology was available.  What's different now is that devices like AirTags gives police the ability (with help from Apple) to determine who owns it via their AppleID.

So the reality is that the dumbest thing one can do is use an AirTag for illegal purposes.

  • How Apple could approach a folding iPhone

Only one this is for certain.  ScamScum can make as many generations of foldable phones as they want, and the moment Apple introduces a solid, useable folding-screen iPhone, then the copy-machines will be firing up and claim they are simply going the next "obvious" step.

  • Apple pulled a record 439K apps in Q2, including abandonware

Good.  I wish Apple was more aggressive with these even more.

  • French iOS developers launch class action lawsuit over App Store fees

Reminds me of a prior AI article about lawyers getting a 70% cut of a settlement case involving developers suing Apple over fees.  Surprisingly, the attorneys didn't respond to questions involving the hypocrisy of their fees.

  • High-end M2 MacBook Pros, Mac mini rumored to arrive in late 2022

Here’s the thing, because of the extended delivery of the current M1 based Mac Studio (my Ultra won’t ship til mid October), and delays with M1 Max MBP, I’m surprised they're releasing M2 variants so soon. I was about to sell my iMac Pro to fund a 14” MBP M1MAX, but if we’re only talking 3-4 months til M2 versions, then I’ll gladly wait…he’ll I might even cancel my M1 ULTRA to see what the M2 Mac Pro ( ULTRA OR EXTREME) might price out as.

Apple should offer to users of delayed M1 products an exchange/upgrade to M2 with first option to order/swap away their current orders.
The M1 MacBooks were introduced in October of 2021 I think so it should come to no surprise that Apple will release their updated MacBooks around the same time next this year.  It has always been this way.  Supply chain issues is what will cause M2 MBP's to not ship until early 2023 though, for the same reason's why your M1 MBP is being so delayed.

I have never heard of Apple providing any kind of exchange/update.  Buyer beware.  Especially in technology, the next shiny laptop is always right around the corner.
