  • Mastercard to add fingerprint sensors to cards, won't follow strict Apple Pay security pol...

Scenario: I lose my credit card.
Action: I have to order a new card, and remove that card from my Watch, iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
Here's something interesting: my wife "lost" her Discover card shortly after adding it to Apple Pay (I say "lost" because a couple of months later she found it in her driver's door side pocket). She notified Discover who sent a new card with a new number and said it would arrive in 7-10 days. However, the person at Discover also said, "I noticed you have added your card to Apple Pay. That will continue to work for you uninterrupted."

So, even though her physical card would have a new number on it that didn't affect her ability to use Apple Pay. My wife never had to remove or add another card, Apple Pay just continued to do its thing.
I had a similar experience.  I added my Visa card to ApplePay, a couple months later the card was suspended due to fraud, and they sent me a new card.  Never had to touch Apple Pay.  The new card was reflected in it without my having to do anything which was really nice.  I don't recall exactly what happened, but I think I remembered getting a message on my iPhone that my credit card in Apple Pay was updated.

Most of this is good analysis, but when Daniel talks about "Fake news", don't forget he's a hard core marxist.  The lies put out by "correct the record" and the Hillary campaign (eg: "Russia hacked our election!!!11!one" and that kind of BS) are considered "news" by his kind.

"Fake news" is when the truth debunks the "Fact check" and other propaganda sites.

It is positively orwellian that the purveyors of fake news have come out so strongly against "fake news" and of course link it with "harassment and radicalized hate speech"--- two things that also primarily come from these marxists--- who can forget the violent leftist thugs that rioted when a gay man tried to speak at Berkeley.

The level of orwellianness is just astounding.

Having taken over the "mainstream" media, and demonized Fox news for the past two decades for the crime of being slightly to the right of Mao, they are now condemning anyone who dares to point out the emperor (or in this case wannabe empress) has no clothes.

Lets hope Apple doesn't start censoring reality.

That would be a real reality distortion field.

AS it is now, Daniel has only himself to blame (and a drinking problem as a result).

Lets not let the next generation of kids never be exposed to reality.
You bored me after the first sentence.  Stopped reading after that.

  • Apple board member Al Gore sells $29.5M of company stock

Time to vote Al off the island.
He's done little for Apple as far as keeping them ahead of political trends.
Hey.... if it weren't for Al, we wouldn't have the Internet... and no Apple. /s

Seriously, imho Al has been a dead weight on the board.  Does anyone have any info on what Gore has done in the past decade?

Loading up Gmail takes about 5-9 seconds; iCloud Mail takes about 20-30 seconds. I don't even bother browsing my photo library using iCloud Photos; what a lethargic POS. Google Photos? A luxurious, snappy breeze to use.

Apple is so far behind in the cloud game it's embarrassing.

    On my iMac -
    Gmail - 1.5 seconds.
    iCloud Mail - Nearly instantaneous
Photo library - Fired it up for the first time just now, it synced 2500 +/- photos in about a minute.

Maybe it's not Apple that is so far behind, but maybe your Internet connection is?
