lol. A 0.008608321377331 drop in phone sales revenue is “slumping”?

Good one. More in line with the text itself “marginal”.

    Buy a better headline writer.
Not clear where you got that number, that had neither a per cent symbol nor a unit after it. iPhone sales revenue declined $600M. While that's notch in terms of the overall sales picture for Apple, it's a fair chunk of change. I mean, would you turn $600M down if someone offered it to you?

It’s less than 1%.  Hardly “slumping”.   Problem is Wall Street culture, and those who write about it expecting exponential growth not just in the bottom line, but  individual segments as well.  Meanwhile, Apple is selling almost a quarter trillion dollars worth of iPhones every year.

It’s slumping when Apple and everyone else wanted and expected growth, not loss, no matter how small the growth.
They would have had more growth if AI would have shipped on time and to more countries. It was delayed and released piecemeal.  Siri was mostly MIA on what it was supposed to do to round out AI and has gotten worse.

People are not buying new iPhones for AI, they’re buying them for the same reasons why they bought the previous models.

  • Apple Watch bands are still safe to wear says Apple, despite class action claims

I wonder what those watch bands from all of
my digital watches from the 80s were made from?

  • Twenty years of the Mac mini, the little Mac that could

Back when Costco started selling these all-in-one bundles with keyboards, mice, and AppleCare for the same price as Apple’s mini, I was intrigued. They were a bit tricky to open, and I accidentally broke a few teeth on different cases while upgrading the RAM, but there were enough of them to not make a big deal.

  • Apple Silicon's success helped AMD make Ryzen AI Max chips

Apple was using integrated graphics with Intel chips long before they moved to Apple Silicon. I even remember people on this board saying that Apple should only use discreet graphics because integrated graphics weren't good blah blah blah. I'm glad that Apple could prove that integrated graphics can have real benefits.
I think the anger was that they dumped NVIDIA for Intel’s Iris Plus integrated graphics card which did make a difference, especially if you were using 3D software.

There was also a lot of anger from Steve Jobs towards ATI and NVIDIA.  He didn’t like how an ATI executive leaked Apple would be using their chips   right before a product intro and decided to switch to NVIDIA right before the announcement from Apple. Then there is the bad blood between Apple and NVIDIA, where according to Amber Neeley’s article on Appleinsider, Steve Jobs had accused NVIDIA of stealing technology from Pixar.

  • Apple ceases iPhone 14, third-gen iPhone SE sales in the EU

Is this actually “better” for EU customers who do not want the latest Apple technology and are more
comfortable using the older technology because the barn door is already open and the horse got out years ago with lightning cables.

So the customer ends up paying more for tech that they do not want all in the name of compatibility with competitors that they never wanted in the first place.
