"but the screen still won't be looked at as much as an iPhone or iPad."I wish this was out already, I'd gift it to my parents as a shared photo frame. The existing digital frames all seem to be LCD, which is sad compared to miniLED or OLED. So... yeah, if you're only going to use that HomePod for occasionally controlling things it might be overkill, but once it has a screen it could do more than just that.
