  • First Apple Silicon M3 Mac releases rumored for October launch

I guess for many the M1 version of the 24” doesn’t feel slow in the slightest , and an M3 won’t feel that much faster for many use cases. But it’s needed regardless as people don’t like paying the same amount as launch price (or even more in Europe now) for old tech.
So what else will they add to it to make it worthwhile. A cpu spec bump isn’t enough in my opinion - May as well get a heavily discounted M1 if that’s all that changes.

  • Get ready to pay more for the iPhone 15 Pro Max than ever before

The US is in a fortunate position price wise in terms of value. As someone outlined with the the cost of the X model compared to now, and that’s true.  Other countries not so much. It doesn’t matter that the £/$ ratio is largely £1.28 to the $ now (ie quite good) , Apple has hiked prices in the UK and Europe for a while when there is a dip … BUT never lowers them when the rate recovers.
The end result is prices in Europe that are considerably higher than the US even when you take into account Tax.

  • Get ready to pay more for the iPhone 15 Pro Max than ever before

Promotion to remain on the $1K + pros only ….

a feature you find on pretty much most mid or even lower end Androids.

I’ve even seen basic 90hz refresh on bargain basement androids. I would have expected the regular 15 to have either full promotion 120 or at the very least a 90hz option like Samsung’s lower end non ultra s23.

I have a feeling this 13pro in my pocket won’t be upgraded for a while yet. Apple’s value proposition is dwindling every year.

  • Apple Savings is expected to finally launch on April 17

Still waiting for any form of Apple Card or financial product in the UK. Given up hope.

  • Weak demand for MacBook, Apple Watch, AirPods may have caused order cuts

    Not surprised.
A lack of innovation (certainly looking at you Apple Watch which has barely changed since the Series 6 for the regular edition) and a hike in prices is the reason why.
The high dollar means Euro pricing is borderline ridiculous for many apple products .. yet I don’t see such price rises from the PC makers like Dell or the phones from Samsung/Google.
Biggest disappointment for me was the Air M2. Value proposition plus the redesign killed that product for me. For the 16GB/ 512GB version , it’s practically the same price as the MBP 14” which also has those specs and a lot better screen/ports.
Apple has lost the plot in many product lines.
