  • Apple tells Epic judge to consider Supreme Court NCAA decision

I’m sure that patronising attempt to help the judge reach her decision will go down well.

  • Apple offers developers workaround for app RAM limits in iOS 15, iPadOS 15

I’m not sure I would describe this as a “workaround”
any more than the Camera access API is a workaround for not having access to the camera…

It’s a supported, documented feature of the operating system.

  • Texas homes heat up as power companies alter smart thermostats

Is there nothing in that country that isn’t up for sale? Even their thermostat settings can be manipulated for profit.

  • First Google Store takes an opposite approach from Apple retail

This space is designed to be a physical expression of what Google stands for”

Presumably then they’ll have someone following you around the store watching everything you do, and then keep following you when you leave the store to see what you do next.

  • New Siri Remote touch behavior inconsistent, cause unknown

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SCRUBBING - People are doing it wrong. All you need to do is pause whatever is playing and then gently touch and hold the perimeter of the wheel without moving for about half a second or so, and the scrubbing indicator will appear and you can begin rotating. It took me a minute or so to figure it out but it works consistently if you do it properly. Although I don’t find it any more useful really than scrubbing by sliding left and right. Hope this helps
Thanks for the tip. But, this isn’t users doing it wrong. This is Apple designing it wrong. Nowhere does it say on the box or inside the box that you have to touch and hold, wait a bit for an indicator to appear, then perform the gesture. That’s just dumb design. Scrubbing in a circular motion is not an accidental gesture and should simply scrub the video when performed.

I’ll drop my suggestion to Apple’s feedback page. Thanks again for the tip!
