CrossOver 16 adds Microsoft Office 2013 & 64-bit application virtualization
I hope Visio can run on the Mac under crossover soon. This is one of the last holdouts that requires a Windows VM on the Mac for most engineers. I'm sure Project Managers can't wait for MS Project support under crossover.
Id also like to be able to run Cisco IP Communicator, Cisco RTMT, and VMware vSphere Client under Crossover, but this will most likely never happen. -
Review: Apple Watch Nike+ isn't much different from Series 2, and that's OK
I get two days of use with Apple Watch Series 2 (Nike Plus). I use it for taking and
making calls several times a day. Checking stocks, checking my portfolio with the Fidelity app, finding friends, occasional email and texting, heart rate monitor, the Activity app, etc. I do not use GPS tracking much.
When I'm at a gym, I use it for taking calls with my iPhone being locked in a locker on another floor. The Apple Watch is able to make and take calls using "Wi-Fi calling on other devices" feature. I can even power down my iPhone, and I can still take and make phone calls on the Watch.
I put it on at 7:00 am this morning fully charged. It's almost 9:PM, and I still have 75% of charge left.

LG UltraFine 5K Display now for sale through Apple, first orders ship in January [u]
Apple should enable the 27" 5K retina iMacs to be used as external monitors by using two Thunderbolt 2 ports simultaneously for receiving two discrete DisplayPort 1.2 signals. The two Thunderbolt ports are there already on the 27" 5K iMacs. This should be possible with a firmware upgrade. After Apple discontinued monitors, they owe this to their customers. -
Review: Apple's 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar
daekwan said:rob53 said:Do you like your Mac? Would you like one of the latest MBPs? If so, then quit complaining and buy one and use it. If not, then go find a Windows PC and see it that satisfies your urge to waste your time fixing things instead of being productive.
I've never seen it stated it better. While I dont agree with many of the changes to the new MBP. I realize this is what Apple has always done. They have always been expensive. They have always been controversial in dropping legacy ports/devices. They have always had proprietary dongles, cables and devices.
But you know what else Apple has always done? Always delivered the most stable desktop OS and rock solid software. Always built robust, quality products that outlast, outperform and hold their value much better than their competitors. Always provided an unmatched user experience.
So this 2016 MBP w/TouchBar presents potential buyers with a choice that so many previous Apple products have done. Do you more money for the product from the company who has built a reputation of "just working"? Or do you save some bucks, choose a competitor.. and probably end up seriously regretting a few months later.. as you find out exactly the competition costs less and creates more headaches.
be back in the next generation unless they cannot fit the ports on the side of the body because of how thin the body is. I suspect the MagSafe will be back too. They tried to kill FireWire a few years ago but due to an outcry they brought it back for a few more years.
