    Seems like an awfully long time for Apple to sit on the older iPad Pros while the new iPad Air has the A14. It’s feasible due to Covid, but I still think there’s a slight chance of a speed bump before then.

    I second this. If they can port macOS to Arm, they must be thinking about how they can virtually run MacOS on iPadOS (non-developer talking here). 

    Also, WHEN will the new iPad Pros be released? The latest we’ve heard is spring 2021 but I can’t imagine Apple wants the iPad Air to sit there with the A14 and better specs than the Pro for 6 months. That’s a long time to be cannibalizing your Pro line. I still think there’s a chance we could see new Pros this year.

    This is a VERY interesting sentence— he seems to imply that there are exciting cross platform macOS / iOS  products or software on the horizon. 

    I’m trying to figure out what future product/capability he’s implicating.

    Definitely waiting until new models come out...unless my 9.7” Pro keeps having this background refresh / battery overheating problem on 13.5.1
