Rumor: 'AirPods 3' to launch alongside 'Apple Music HiFi' on May 18

Funny story, I asked a 20-something co-worker if he thought he would be interested in lossless audio if Apple offered it, and he asked, "what's lossless?"
"it's when they include all of the sound that you probably can't hear anyway and make your data usage quintuple"
I can stream my lossless audio library via Plex natively, and my data usage is just fine. I just make sure I'm on WiFi, or I download what I want to listen to while I am. For everything else, there's Spotify at 96 / 160 / 320 kb/s. -

I hope Apple releases something to replace it. Once you've listened on the HomePod, the Mini is not an option.
I recently downloaded a classical piece and did stream it to my HomePod.It was in Apple lossless format.
I had also converted it to AAC to put on my iPhone and streamed back to HomePod as well.Absolutely no difference whatsoever.Point is in order to get the most out of lossless music you need specialized DACs...

Report finds AirTag enables 'inexpensive, effective stalking'
leighr said:So, as usual, Apple is held to a different standard than everyone else. There’s Tile, Chipolo, Samsung and many others, that have been around for years (without any anti stalking facilities) and yet nothing is ever said. Apple produces a version WITH anti stalking, and they’re the ones who are criticised. It never ends. -
Tile CEO 'welcomes' AirTag competition from Apple's 'runaway monopoly train'
Skeptical said:jcs2305 said:Skeptical said:I have to agree a bit here with the Tile dude. After a few updates, my Tile were useless for the most part. And so I switched to the AirTags. Not impressed at all. I can hold the AirTag next to the phone and it tells me the signal is weak. WTF Apple. Anyway, maybe I’m holding it wrong. Tile has nothing to worry about if this is the best that Apple cans do. Queue the fanboy flamers…I have seen and read multiple reviews of Airtags and have not seen the issue you mention? Is it impossible to think that maybe your Airtag isn't working correctly and may need to be swapped out for another unit? I mean shit happens even with Apple products.. no? Your "maybe I am holding it wrong" comment makes me think either you're trolling or you are commenting with an ax to grind for whatever reason? If it were me and a product didn't work I would either run to the Apple store to swap it out, or send it back for a replacement..period. Not coming on Appleinsider to make a blanket condemnation of a product because one unit isn't behaving correctly.
