Facebook says it has 'no choice' but to comply with Apple privacy feature
My main Facebook account has been disabled since early 2017. Not sure why I've been procrastinating about actually deleting it, but this seems like as good a time as any. I'll keep my other account with the made-up name a while longer (though I haven't used that one since 2017 either).

Apple on track to release mini LED iPad Pro in early 2021
Yes, that is correct. The upcoming iPad Pro is rumored to be mini-LED. The current iPad (Pro) backlighting is edge-lit, and the new mini-LED tech will allow for full-array backlighting, the benefits of which are pretty obvious.rorwessels said:So just to be clear, this is mini-LED which is just a backlighting method, and not micro-LED right? I have high hopes that micro-LED will give us all the best of both worlds. The contrast and color of OLED and the no burn-in of LCD. Here is to hoping anyway.

They should be careful what they wish for. Do they really want to invite that kind of comparison?

Blake Crouch's 'Dark Matter' novel adaptation coming to Apple TV+
Loved the book. Wife read it based on my enthusiastic recommendation, and loved it too. I'd love to see Crouch's "Recursion" made into a series, as it was excellent too. Here's hoping they do a good job with the material. -
