Google dropping Material Design in iOS to make iPhone apps look more like they should
rob53 said:"Apple's own proprietary UIKit" Interesting how you snuck that in. It's still a UIKit that's available to every developer to develop apps on iOS devices so why the dig?Because it's accurate. The Material Design system may be ugly, but at least it's open source. UIKit is proprietary.

Camera in iPhone 13 beats iPhone 12 Pro in DxOMark testing
Fred257 said:The cameras are the only thing they’ve improved since the first iPhone SE. everything else is a complete letdown
While it's true that they haven't improved much of anything, they've also been actively making lots of things worse, like taking away the headphone jack and the home button, and adding that idiotic notch to the screen.

Ireland joins OECD tax agreement, ends status as tax haven for multinationals
15% corporate tax is still FAR too low. Ideally corporate income tax rates should be at least as high as individual income tax rates, which for Ireland the top rate seems to be 40%.And remember, corporations only pay income taxes on profits, expenses (like salaries) are deductible. That's why cutting the corporate tax rate is HORRIBLE if you're trying to create jobs or increase salaries, low corporate tax rates encourage layoffs and low salaries to reduce expenses so more profit can be extracted. If tax laws are written correctly, passing off profits to smaller subsidiaries will be impossible, for minimum taxation purposes it'll be the global 'holding company' that will determine the rate. -
