Data shows 62% of Apple TV+ subscribers are on a trial, most don't plan to renew
I'm a subscriber through the Apple One Plan - Family. While they have some interesting stuff, Apple needs about 2-3 more years to build a library worthy of dragging someone off of Netflix or Prime, of the cable-offerings popping up to stay relevant. The Apple One Plans are a great idea, but like those who are on Apple TV+ trial, I am thinking of ditching even the Plan because it offers Arcade. Sorry, for me, I left the Arcade after graduating high school. I don't need this feature. Let me choose News+ for example in exchange for Arcade, then, Apple, you can secure more "subscribers" to your services. Plan and simple (but then again it's not Steve's Apple any longer). -
Apple offering free three-month Apple News+ trial through November 30
Well, if they would move Apple News+ into the Family Share Plan of Apple One (rather than Apple Arcade...which as adults my wife and I could care less about), then I would use the service. My wife an I shared an AppleID since iTools or MobileMe days (for those of you who remember). When she got a watch, we decided to set her up with a separate AppleID and I then chose the Family Share Plan. Besides having Apple Arcade which is useless to me (as was/is Game Center), sharing iCloud space with multiple AppleIDs on a share plan is not what I wanted. Apps that can be shared (e.g., Notability) don't share the same library so what's the point? If you could decide to have your own space (which is the default and only option with iCloud sharing), and a shared space, then Family Sharing makes sense when sharing Apps. I think I'll end my Family Sharing Plan and go back to both of us having the 5GB Free options...anyway, I digress. Apple One should be an a la carte system, build your own. In fact, I will probably get rid of Family Share Plan of Apple One soon because of the limitation. I'm not going up to the Ultimate package just to get News+...let the user decide what they want in their Family Share Plan! -

Coalition for App Fairness unites developers to fight Apple's App Store fees and policies
I can’t read your cookie policy (by pressing the link in the cookie notice that only has an Accept button) WITHOUT first accepting your cookie usage! What kind of rinky-dink outfit and website are you. I supposed you were ‘developers’ but I’m wondering even more now. I’d like to read your position but without being tracked by your insistence I accept your usage of cookies. In fact, I just want to read first your cookie policy and can’t even do that! -
Coinbase CEO says App Store policies stifle innovation in cryptocurrency
Wow, all the whiners are coming out now. Let's gang up on Apple, who created a universe in which all these companies experienced new revenue streams/businesses, and now slam them when they need to continue to pay for that service. Just pathetic. The only way you can lobby for increased profits for your shareholders is to blame the very platform on which you created your business. Why not innovate yourself, the way Apple has for decades? Why not create something that everyone else needs from you so you too can charge for the service/product you provide to them? Why not focus on your own capabilities rather than complain, I mean jump on a bandwagon of complainers, and cry foul...I have to pay for this service (App Store)? That's unfair! Poor me. Jeez, you are all a clear bunch of whiners!
