  • How HomePod leverages Apple's silicon expertise to deliver advanced audio performance

I really like the HomePod. What I don't understand is that it 1. does not understand non-english song titles or interprets and 2. that when asking what song is playing and it is not english, Siri just produces gibberish. It shouldn't be too difficult to tag songs with what language the title/interpret is so Siri 1. understands what one is asking for and 2. Siri can correctly tell what song/interpret HomePod is playing. I am a bit surprised by this not very good implementation.

  • President Trump mentions Apple's pending US investment in State of the Union address

Tim Cook helping Trump is the worst thing I've ever seen.
And regarding the money coming back to the US: what do you think Apple invested its overseas money in? A lot of it in US bonds and the like. Hence, the money has already been invested in the US. There won't be a real gain in money. The only one who wins is Trump. And Apple helped him. After 2017 was filled with bad news, 2018 kicked of with this bad news from Apple.
This is bad for Apples image and reputation.

  • Apple TV losing market share to streaming set-top box rivals Roku, Amazon

AppleTV, as opposed to all other Apple devices, is not so much about design. It's about content, and of course ease of use. AppleTV remote is not clever. I often accidentally startup AppleTV by moving the remote around. Finding something is not very good, Siri doesn't work impressively. Also, sometimes a movie is said to be only available for purchase, although it is also available on my Netflix subscription. So, also universal search is not yet convincing. Content wise – nothing that others offer as well. Apple does not offer something unique with AppleTV. AirPlay, maybe. But this lack of uniqueness, while AppleTV also cannot even serve as fashion statement makes it a regular player in the market. Nothing extraordinary as is usually Apple's DNA. And that's why I think they called it a Hobby before: they knew they could do something like that, but nothing special about it.
