Its time has passed. Manufacturing of smaller contacts obsolesced it years ago. No self-respecting engineer could tolerate hanging on to it much longer. -

Looking forward to your next mega-editorial! btw: the first iPod data cable I remember was Firewire 400, which they abandoned in favor of USB when they made iTunes Windows compatible.
