  • Google's $649 5" Pixel 2, $849 6" Pixel 2 XL smartphones want to be your main squeeze, wit...

Joke of a phone. Remember when Google mocked Apple by emphasizing the headphone jack during the Pixel one keynote? Why doesn't a single one of these fucking companies at least stay committed to their "stance", instead of mocking then turning around and following Apple's lead less than 12 months later, each and every time? If you think removing the headphone jack is insane, is anti-consumer, and is truly the wrong thing to do- then commit to it and keep it in your devices. Don't use it as a cheap way to bash Apple then go ahead and drop it the first chance you get like the hypocritical cowards that you are.
Google has always been a classless company.

  • Samsung manufacturing arms poised to make $4 billion more from iPhone X than Galaxy S8

How Samsung manages to sell 50 million knockoff devices is amazing. *applause*

Since it can’t outsell real iPhones, android morons will group all 1,000+ companies into one Vs. Apple.
Excuse me, but every iPhone since the iPhone 5 has been a knockoff of the Samsung Galaxy. Apple doesn't even use single core SOCs, LCD screens or a physical home button anymore. The design language from the original iPhone is long gone, making the original trade dress lawsuit against Samsung even more hilarious. Apple may sell more devices, but they have long stopped leading and are now fully following when it comes to both Samsung's design and Google's software features in iOS, not to mention revising Apple TV and coming out with the HomePod to compete with hardware and services offered by Amazon, Google and yes - with Bixby - Samsung.
Wow....just wow.  So there really are people this stupid hanging around.  Yep, poor old Apple, just following the herd...

...Apple clearly following Samsung in the implementation of easy/fast/reliable fingerprint authentication (...no)
...Apple clearly behind Samsung with the introduction of 3D face authentication (...no)
...Apple was way late to the party in brining in dual cameras with "portrait mode" bokeh effect (...no)
...Google clearly leading in showing demonstrations of AR available on 100's of millions of devices (...no)
...Apple is getting clobbered in performance of CPU/GPU by Samsung and everyone (...no)
...Both Samsung Bixby and Google Assistant deployed on more devices than Apple Siri (...no)
...Google, Amazon, and Roku both beat AppleTV in having 4K HDR, HEVC decoding, and equivalents in audio (...no)
...The iPhone 8 and X both look the same in design as Samsung S8 and Note 8 (...no)

Boy, you sure are some smart....

  • iPhone X report shows device with less environmental impact than any other Apple product

Funny how in a world that has become obsessed with "caring about the environment" (at least as it pertains to what people say, not necessarily do) - that Apple, as the most environmentally friendly consumer electronics company, never gets much recognition in the media / blogs for their leadership.

    Here. We. Go.

I think we will be seeing an iOS desktop very soon..

Hopefully in 5 years Apple is almost 100% vertically integraded and does not have to rely on any vendor to provide parts.
Welcome to seeing reports of all the hundreds (if not more) of patent lawsuits filed against Apple the day that this is announced especially in the Radio space where there are literally thousdands of applicable patents. Buying from Broadcom takes a lot of that pain away.
This could tie Apple up in legal knots for years and years. Sometimes it is cheaper and easier just to pay Broadcom.

I'd also expect real estate prices in East Texas (close to the courthouse) will rise significantly if Apple does this.
Yeah...Apple is pretty clueless about product development, so they probably have no idea what to do here, and will just blindly leap into it...

  • Apple Music breaks through to 30 million subscribers

Every service has "churn" (people leave for any number of reasons), and if you are not signing up new customers faster, your subscriber base drops.  If sales and advertising budget are cut, then it affects the latter.  It is not a hard concept.

The term "gross profit" is misapplied - perhaps what is meant is "gross margin" (revenue of goods sold - cost of goods to produce).
