Fuck this godamn "real" computer shit, it's a childish way to divide the population into two groups: the superior people (which *always* happens to be the one *you* are in, how convenient right?, is those who use "real" computers) and the inferior ones (everyone else, those who use "toys"). It's a stupid fucking willy waving contest, just stop it, it's beyond childish and so totally tribal and Manichean, you should all laugh at anyone that tries to make such a stupid characterisation.
You are never superior for the device you use or prefer, neither are you inferior, it's horses for courses and my choice is mine and yours is yours, and what works best for the person who uses it is the best one, whether you call it a fucking computer or a device or a tablet, it's just a name and this game is like children on a playground hurling insults at each other.
It's like watching a bunch of children argue whether a pencil or a pen is the best note taking tool.

Apple to debut 10.5" iPad Pro in 2017, integrate flexible AMOLED tech in 2018
I'm really hoping they don't abandon the mini, I love mine. Although it's less used since I got my 6+, it's still a perfect size for certain things, especially reading PDFs (which I can't read on my phone and my Air is too large to hold comfortably while reading). A pen added to the mini would be my ideal, allowing markup in documents with a tool that isn't my clumsy imprecise finger.
Having a big iPad in the smaller 10.5" model (as some have posited), now that's also very interesting, I love the bigger screen, but can't justify the additional bulk or heft, so still prefer my Air on the go, but that new model would absolutely be something to tempt me. Can't wait to see what they release!
It's like being at MacRumors years ago when the last MP was getting a bit long in the tooth, every single thread was hijacked by "Mac Pro now!" posters, so fucking annoying, like the unrelenting pestering of unruly children.chia said:
Then why click on an article about potential new iPads if your interest is in a new Mac Pro?wozwoz said:Not really interested in any of this. Who cares? Slightly bigger, smaller.
How about a new Mac Pro ... now you have my attention! Only 3 years and counting between serves

The New Forums Are Just Awful

Has the ignore list gone? Please, no, the hundreds I had on my list I do not want back.
You can edit your ignore list here, or you can ignore any individual user from their profile page by clicking the little person icon in the top-right next to the message icon and selecting ignore. NOTE: this will hide their POSTS completely. It will not stop you from seeing that they have the most recent post in a thread or they were quoted or anything like that.
Is it possible to remove the "max 5" restrictions on the ignore list, please?! There have been so many trolls and MR-wannabes added recently, restricting the ignore list to 5 max is definitely reducing the fun of the forum.<sigh>
