HELP PLS: MBP bent/warped aluminium unibody caused by USB flash drive
How did that happen in the first place? usb connectors don't have enough thickness to do that. My suggestion is to live with one less port. Buy a monoprice adapter for under 10 euros and use one of the other ports. Otherwise you can try arguing with Applecare that you received a bad unit with weak casing. Even then it would have required some upward force to completely break the aluminum.

the genius bar asks for $600.00 to fix my mid 2014 mbp keyboard and trackpad, intermittant.HELP
You really need to provide some detail here. Typically if a computer is out of warranty and there isn't any sign of user inflicted damage, the genius bar will offer depot/flat rate repair. When it's offered, they send it out, and it's around $350. You haven't described a specific problem, so you probably won't receive detailed responses.

LG's UltraFine 5K Display gets unboxing treatment in new video
phils said:I honestly find it amazing that Apple is not continuing with their own Displays. This LG Screen is like when Apple released the first iTunes capable cellphone in partnership with Motorola. It simply sucks. There is no industrial design here whatsoever. No continuation of the Apple experience... it just looks like a generic screen. And to me that is really sad.
The thunderbolt display lacked a height adjustable stand, so this one is an improvement in that regard. Apart from that it's about the way it displays content. Color gamut isn't that big of an issue. It's marketing gibberish. Important details are uniformity, white point, shadow detail, and the difference between expected colors and measured colors, regardless of gamut claims. No sane reviewer is going to trash a display based on the appearance of its casing.

How to connect 4K monitors to your Mac, even on some older models without official support
polymnia said:I know I'm kind of a fringe case.
That said: I'm interested to know what the 10 bit per channel video output capabilities of the prior MacBook Pro.
Right now I connect to an Eizo CG318-4K which is a high-end hardware calibrated display. To best use the display, I need to feed it 10 bits per channel, which has been recently enabled by macOS updates, but has not been enabled on my prior-generation 15" MacBook Pro with discreet GPU.
I've been using a Mini DisplayPort to full-size DisplayPort cable to connect the display.
I'll be upgrading to one of these new MBPs soon enough, but if I can get 10bit per channel output to my Eizo display, I could hold off a bit longer.

They'd be like orange juice and toothpaste together.
