  • Too soon? Apple's new iPhone 7 ruffles feathers with Lightning audio, Home button changes

You're wrong. Your whole point, implied by the graph, was that BT headphones had surpassed wired ones and at 15% it's not the case at all. Apple provides connectivity for a minority of headphone users. I would argue that the graph might look different for iphone users though, maybe it's more than 15%, but the graph you posted is irrelevant, revenue is important for the manufacturers and retailers not the end user
Um, try to pay attention. I didn't post the graph. Someone else did. And I made my point very clear about market share by revenue is a key indicator. You seem not to have read that, or you wouldn't be myopically focused on unit market share, as meaningless as it is in the realm of Smartphones.
This is absolutely correct. The point that the graph showing the 2 lines crossing is irrelevant in a birds eye view. The point should be that the trend for wired headphones is dropping and wireless is increasing. Sit behind the trend and you can make your money for a short period of time, and then die off. If you want to be on the forward edge of trends, you know and use graphs like this showing the future.

At some point, CRT TVs vs flat screen had this exact same graph. Would you poo-pooers be defending the CRTs? The trend is obvious.

  • Inside iOS 10: 'Raise to Wake' requires iPhone 6s, iPhone SE, or iPhone 7

I absolutely HATE this feature and have already disabled it. I don't want my damn phone to turn on every time I touch it. Its way too sensitive. It will turn on just by me picking the phone up off my desk and putting it in my pocket. Or, if its on my nightstand or desk and bump it, the damn phone turns on.
I just tried all of that and couldn't reproduce what you have experienced, except picking it up at the angle where you would associate with looking at it. I hit my phone, slid it across my desk, spun it around, nothing. Is there a sensitivity setting? I haven't looked.

Now, when I bump my nightstand, my watch lights up with the time, but that, I actually want to happen.

I'm curious how Raise To Wake will know when an iPhone is being raised for use and when it's being raised because it's in someone's pocket and he or she stands up.

my guess is it would use the ambient light sensor to detect the fact that it's in your pocket
Um, considering Apple can't even figure out how to prevent pocket dialing, which is a huge P.I.T.A. on my 6 plus, I would guess they haven't a clue how to detect that it's in my pocket.
Or you could click the power button before putting it in your pocket. Or is your hand in your pocket busy doing something else?

  • Launch day iPhone 7 Plus, jet black iPhone 7 allotment sold out, Apple says

Explain what iPhone sale Apple loses if you have to wait an extra week.

As for the scarcity principle itself and why in can be advantageous for a company when used as a part of marketing simply search it up. Articles about it are hardly scarce (pun intended), and they explain much better than I can why your company might make MORE profits by not meeting initial demands. At the end of the day profits are the highest priority. Whatever gets them there. . .

Exactly what benefit is there to delay the launch a week? If they have build capacity of 1,000 phones per day (for simplicity) and have worked up to a stock of 50,000 from 50 days of production, which will be sold in say 2 weeks, why wait until you have 7,000 more only to have those sold in that 2nd week? It is scarce either way, as is obvious by the expected November delivery for some of the phones already.

  • Failed iOS 10 installs force users to plug into iTunes for restoration of 'bricked' device [u]

Why anyone would perform an iOS upgrade over the air is beyond me. You should ALWAYS perform a full backup of any device before upgrading the OS. The only way to do that on a mobile device is by connecting to a computer and backing up via iTunes. Then performing the OS upgrade while still connected is a no-brainer. Even Apple suggests this as the better process.
One has nothing to do with the other. I did OTA, and I have a backup. So what?
OTA has never failed me before, so why should I have expected it to do so now?

    Congrats on your first post.
