  • Florida man sues Apple for over $10B, claiming violation of 1992 'reading device' concept

This buy is a bastard.  Why he did not sue when Newton message pad came out?  Why he did not sue Amazon Ereader? He sues only because iPhones are making obnoxious money and it has nothing to do with his "patent".
Kindle, the first fully successful ereader on the market.  Apple just had their app on the iPhone and iPad until iBooks came along.  Don't see this going far.

Page turns could be gestures. Several possible alternatives. I just think no frame around the entire "page" would make for a more elegant product.
I still have a hard time with understanding why people insist on things having no bezel/frame.  You still need somewhere to hold it without interfering with/activating the touch screen.  Waving my hand at it or even some swipe gesture to turn the page is just plain gimmicky, not useful.

iDevices will always have nothing on the Kindle when it comes to reading for any real length of time.
Bezel/Frame = Page Margins, just like a book.

iPhone 5s is to small and iPad to heavy, I read books on my Kindle Fire as it is nice and light.

For all the moaning we could do about Amazon, the Kindle has been a fantastic device ever since it was first introduced.  Every person who has one I talked to loves them.  And, I love mine...

  • Judge tosses lawsuit over 'Error 53' triggered by Touch ID repairs

    focher said:
Exactly how was it frivolous? iPhones absolutely did experience the Error 53. That error prevented the use of the phone, access to the data on the phone, and for many weeks Apple actually said that it wasn't going to address the issue.

Change the whole story to a car. You have a car and have an aftermarket item installed and the car won't turn on due simply to a software check.

I'm a shareholder, but people experienced damages due to encoding the Error 53 situation that left iPhones completely unusable. They have deserve to have resolution to that situation. And for those who think Apple's ultimate resolution negates the problem, put your phone in a drawer for two weeks and come back to let us know whether that caused a problem for you. I'm not suggesting this is a get rich quick opportunity, but restitution is deserved.
By bringing shareholder status into the argument it automatically classifies you as a troll. Besides, your whole premise is flawed.

Stay out of my flight path. Thanks for another easy to acquire tool for terrorists to use against civilian flights.
As if they would get licensed for commercial use to do that...
