  • Apple reveals further details about AirTag's anti-stalking feature

I would like them to solve for antitheft use-case as well. Would love to be able to hide a tag in my bicycle, motorcycle and panniers. Living in the PNW there's a lot of theft, so leaving my bike to go for a walk is a risk, airtags would've been the perfect solution.
Agreed. And given Apple specifically market them for use with bikes they are at least implying that use case. After all, who 'forgets' their bike. Stolen, however... I have a specialist push bike and I'd certainly like one of these to hide in it should it get stolen. Then again, I think the diameter slightly too wide to place in any of its tubes. That's the other thing, if you attach it to a bag or handbag in a way that is easily located or on one of the accompanying straps, someone can just remove it.

For those with a 1st gen Apple TV 4K then, what reason is there to upgrade rather than simply buying the new remote?
High frame rate HDR, WiFi 6, HDMI 2.1, the color calibrator described in this article, Dolby Vision/Atmos (was that in the old ATV 4K? I don't recall), faster processor, Thread support.
Dolby Vision/Atmos and color calibrator both available on 1st gen Apple TV.

  • Apple debuts colorful 24-inch iMac with M1, upgraded camera and audio

I wonder with the white bezels whether they’ll transfer over to the MacBook Air refresh or relaunched MacBook? I remember in the days of iBook and G5 iMac that they had white bezels, and the first gen MacBook. Aluminium bezels on the original Air. If so I’d be disappointed. Getting the black bezel on the MacBook 12”seemed to make such a difference. But I could see them following a design language where all the consumer systems make use of white and colour.

  • In defense of Apple's iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe

I’ve got one and it’s replaced my wallet. But I am disappointed with the quality. All its done is be in my pocket. Not got wet or dropped. The stitching has repeatedly covered in what I can only imagine is glue from the wallet that has maybe sweated out from warmth of the pocket. I’ve picked it off but it’s a bit unsightly and I wonder if that’ll make it less durable.  Ow I’ve found the lining has separated at the top from the layer that protects the cards from the magnet, so metal is exposed. Am tempted to take it back to the Apple Store but wonder if they’ll just shrug.
If you have an Apple Store conveniently located nearby or plan on being around one, then I would definitely try to return it. Because that should not be happening this early on. Chances are, they’ll blame it on user error. But if it costs nothing to cheek, you might end up pleasantly surprised.
Thanks very much to you and Stompy for your replies. Apple are sending postage to return it and will then ship me a replacement. I hope it is just an issue with this one as I've not used my old wallet since getting the Magsafe in November.
