Moki has a relevant post in disaster at MWNY, ( top of page 3) lending some credence to the spymac rumor, and answering some questions posted here, namely new 166 MHz bus & DDR ram. While no disaster this is less heartening than the pleasant suprise rumor. -

Damn...I was hoping for 166 Mhz MPX and DDR33. Keep it comin Dorsal. Any info on audio in/out on these? 2 full drive bays? ATA133? R300? This could be good. -

Well you are probabily right : it will be more simple for Mot to develop a DDR memory interface and larger L2 cache than a very large L3 cache. But i have doubt concerning the 166 mhz memory : is it less or more expansive than DDR memory at 133 mhz ? -

How are they going to get 1.2/1.4/1.6 on a 166 bus? even with .5 multipliers you don't get clean numbers. On a 133 bus you can get 1.2 and 1.6 easily but not 1.4 -
