My first post! Hopefully i'll get a gmail account somehow! (moderators?) hehe... anyways, i enjoy this site and i hope virtual pc 7 comes out with less problems and i think it is worth the wait, definitely!

I stopped getting gmail invites. Not sure if that's a trend or just me.

It said it was going to give out a handful of GMail invites. Really what happened? I, too, was hoping to get a GMail invite.

At this point you must use a web browser to use gmail (I have heard that Safari works, and FireFox does work). There is a Mail.app plugin from a third party that allows it to fetch Hotmail mail (VersionTracker for it).

Either that or you could get a Walla account. It gives you 1GB of storage for free. Also it's very easy to use. Almost like GMail but inferior. walla.com

spymac is terrible, not workin on whatever i tried. so, gmail, i can invite you (send a pm). altern.org/mail .. gives 20 mb i think. reliable. yahoo is getting better.

Anyone have GMail? I've been asking around but no one seems to have any. Can anyone give me an invite? PM me if you have one.

Gmail does not yet provide POP or IMAP access so using Mail is currently out of the question. You can however use gCount which will alert you to new messages in the menu bar or Dock.
