Help with touching of photo, please! (urgent)

Hi guys,

A photo of mine has been selected for jury for a photo competition here at my school.

I need to go to kinkos to print it, but before doing it, I am greatly annoyed by the white sky.

I would like to make the sky a lot greyer, like grey rainy clouds but keep the colour of the rest of the image.

I have no idea how to do this but I need to do it quite urgently.

Could someone please help?

Thanks,

here's the picture:

If anyone is willing to help, could you please email me at [email protected]

Thanks to all

If you have a subscription to MacWorld there is an article in this issue about "enhancing" the color of the sky in photos....

    Creative use of photoshop!

That sky has lots of contrast against the foreground items, so a magic wand select of the entire sky is a cinch in PS. Once it's selected, you can do what you will with it.

Unless you don't have PS, or don't know PS basics, in which case I got nothing....

    Damn it,

I do not have a subscription of Macworld nor do I have photoshop.

Is someone willing to help out a poor soul?

I will be in debt for life.

I'm not that great with PS but this is what I came out with (I AM A NEWB ON PS). I didn't know exactly how dark or what fashion you wanted the grey, so I made 4 versions. Hope it helps some

Here are the links, each is darker then the other:

You missed some of the white sky (check between the branches of the trees and in the arches of the buildings). Make sure you deselect contiguous in the magic wand options.

Thanks so much guys for helping.

Not trying to be an ass, but in ipeons the entire picture looks a lot darker, yet in ichiban's the sky doesn't blend very well with the rest.

They are already better as is, but I really want to give my best for this competition.

Guys, thanks so much. You don't realise how much I appreciate this.

make sure you give it chance to load--its not as pixelated as it seems at first.

I personally like iPeon's image. It brings out the most detail in the sky. ipodandimac, yours is good as well and it doesn't darken the rest of the picture as much, but it also seems to have too much of an outline around the skyline.

The problem with the ones we've seen is that the sky is actually blue in the original. There are a lot of clouds, but it's certainly not a gray day.
