It appears that you can only sync calendars and contacts when on a Mac. I did not see these options on the Windows version of iTunes 4.8.
Oh well, no biggie. I am about to switch anyway, so I wouldn't want to sync anything to the iPod right now anyway.
so they've just moved the functionality from isync to itunes ??
So where's...CD-TEXT and no SKIPPING between songs. Oh well I suppose that can wait until iTunes 5, next year.

Can you use iTunes to sync contacts and calendars to phones? Or is it just iPod?
still use iSync for that.

I wonder for how long?
The long debated iTunes Movie Store is looking like more and more of a possibiliy with the access to H.264 and iTunes ability to now play movies....
Now I can make movie playlists! Huzzah!
(I've actually been waiting for iTunes to play movies since iTunes 1...)

edit: After playing with iTunes, I can't actually import movies or drag-drop them, even after converting them to magical H.264.. Which means the video features are only for music videos and previews in the iTMS... Dang it.)
edit edit: Ah, I made a new playlist and now I can do it.. Awesome!

No problems here.

Y isnt itunes available for download via software update?
Apple usually releases iTunes updates in their homepage first and then through Software Update a couple of days later.
Grrrr...

Will it only play H.264? I can't seem to play a video in iTunes. When I command-click a video and tell it to open in iTunes it loads into iTunes but then when I try to play it just goes to the next song. Why can't I play videos?
Works for me..
It definitely isn't only H.264, have you got QuickTime 7 installed?
