I guess it depends on whether you pronounce it like Jodi-Anne, or Joe-Dean.

very good point my wife and i agree, it depends on pronunciation it can be both so use it
who choice was it anyway a guy or girl mom or dad? for a girl add an "n"

Just one thing: if you name your kid "jodean" make sure the first letter of the last name is not "N."
