MacRumors' timeline suggests a bump sometime soon; I expect an upgrade at the Expo in January.
I'd love to see a new enclosure -- the current one hasn't substantially changed since 2003 -- more than five years!
I too hope for a refresh for the Mac Pro. Then I can replace my aging P4 box at home with one that doubles as a server and runs windows through bootcamp.
5 years already? It just goes to show that the Mac Pro's design is pretty timeless, I thought it was less than that. Its a pretty similar shape to the PowerMac G5 even.
Soon and based on the new Nehalem design. Nehalem is the biggest design leap Intel have taken 10-15 years. At 2.66 GHz it is faster than current 3.2 GHz CPUs so I fully expect the next gen MacPros to be something to behold

Been waiting patiently for soooo long for an update on the Mac Book Pros and the Pro desktop, especially with the latter. With Apple's slap in the face for all pros with their mirrored screens on the new laptops (If I wanted to be reminded how handsome I am I wouldn't buy a Mac Book Pro, I'd just ask the wife ), I'm holding out less of a hope.
I seriously wish for the revamped desktops restore the confidence in the creative community. I for one don't want to go back to PCs, but at the moment the superior OS is the only thing keeping me from jumping off the apple cart (pardon the pun). However I don't want to keep hanging on for Apple to get it right, which they do a lot of the time don't forget.

Fingers crossed for January...
