  • M3 Mac mini, 14-inch &16-inch MacBook Pro aren't coming in the fall

I don’t see the point of continuing the 13” MacBook Pro. The M series Apple Silicon chips makes the MacBook Air quite formidable. If you need more power, move up to the 14” or 16” MacBook Pro. Creatives tend to want larger screens. I just can’t imagine a use case where a 13” would be preferred over a 14” for pro users. Not to say that there isn’t a use case. I just don’t see it.

  • Hyundai in talks with Apple to produce 'Apple Car'

The quote was, "We understand that Apple is in discussion with a variety of global automakers, including Hyundai Motor. As the discussion is at its early stage, nothing has been decided.” Apple is talking to a variety of manufacturers. Also, if things manifest themselves as they do with every Apple product, Apple will spec everything down to the last bolt. So it won’t matter much who they choose.

  • Tim Cook says 'stay tuned' to see how Apple will evolve AR with humanity

    slurpy said:
I strongly believe what Apple reveals in this space will be mind blowing, and will actually have meaningful, useful and well thought out applications. They’re not just gonna shit out an AR product for the hell of it, or as a superfluous gimmick.
I agree. It’s also clear that any headset that Apple creates won’t isolate you from the rest of the world.

  • Apple Vision Pro $3,499 mixed-reality headset launches at WWDC after years of rumors

My first Mac was a Mac Plus. I purchased it in late 1986 for $2,499, about $6,900 in today's dollars. For those complaining about the price of the Apple VisionPro, you need to understand that this device is not for you. This is a new paradigm. Looking at the specs, I suspect Apple barely makes money on the VisionPro. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that Apple will be losing money on the initial release, which is why they are restricting its initial release to the US. It's also being released as a “Pro” product. Apps will be created; they will be amazing. Right now, it's a niche product. Five years from now, it could potentially supply all your computing, communication, gaming, and entertainment needs. This is truly a pivotal technology.

  • Developers take note: Apple Silicon is required to develop apps for visionOS

It wouldn’t surprise me at all that Sonoma is the last OS for Intel machines. Why should Apple put in the additional internal effort or restrict its development path?

  • Mark Zuckerberg says the Vision Pro doesn't present 'any breakthroughs'

I think Apple is taking a similar approach with folding phones. Right now, the technology isn’t quite there. I am sure Apple has several iterations in development. And when they finally release an actual product, it will turn the industry upside down. Apple has creativity, integrity, money, and a very loyal following. They can patently explore possibilities and release products when they make sense.

  • Eve announces AirPlay adapter Eve Play

I like the fact that it handles both 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi. I also like that it has an Ethernet port and RCA connections, two things Belkin’s offering is missing.
