I read something somewhere about an Apple Java update messing with Limewire. Might have been on the limewire site. Mine doesn't work either.

(almost) All great input. Thanks. I will try them all when I get home. Until then, which of these would give me the option to specify something like - Get the .jpg's in the directory, unless they have the word thumb in them. Once again, thanks…

Quote: Originally posted by RolandG As far as I recall, this was from the Automator demo given at the WWDC'04 keynote. Well, then I guess the next question is: Is anyone good at automator and can do that? I haven't touched it.

Glad you had a fortunate experience. I have heard a few firsthand accounts of people getting mysteriously robbed after hiring illegal workers for work at their homes. I can't say for myself either way.

I am getting a 20" iMac soon, and wondered if there was a good place to find 1680x1050 desktops for use with it. Most decent pictures are either not that big, or not widescreen ratio.

Quote: do you really believe a child would have access to that credit card? and if so, it's totally the dad's fault. That apple store "single click purchasing" is a b1tch.

I built a Shuttle with AMD. Nice little machine. Louder than I expected, but not loud. I would recommend them, but I think it is heretical (sp?) to say shuttle looks better than a cube.

So, my first real question is: Who in the heck are you that you already have a Mac Mini?

Is there any place we could look to find out more about this? I would think Apple would publish some level of detail about this, though I can't find it. Of course, I guess that would amount to publishing "how to defeat our DRM." Thoughts?

Don't know if anyone noticed, but the new front page is an ad for the G5s and if you follow the link it takes you to the regular old G5 info page. But the thing I just noticed is that the info on that page says "Speed your work with a dual processo…

I get that I should back the songs up, but I thought the songs got "locked" to a particular PC. I know you can share the song with 3 other computers, but once you lose the originating PC then what happens?

So, if I download a song on my machine, and then my machine has to have the OS re-installed, can I download that song again without a hassle?

I think I remember reading an article where Steve said he would have not taken the dollar, but it puts his family on the company health plan. No salary means you can't do that apparently.

Why don't more people own Diesel vehicles. Same answer.

What type of things would you be doing *while* watching a video on-the-go? Music is a good mobile activity because your brain can rest while it is playing. You have to process video and understand plot lines etc. so it doesn't make for a good "whi…

Apple products must have been purchased from Apple or a participating Apple Authorised Reseller located in Australia or New Zealand. First restriction, so who gives a crap (except Australians of course).

I am sure the maiming and raping carried out by the Hussein regime is perfectly cool though? Sounds like another liberal organization with an agenda to me.

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. I am amazed nobody else here is calling you out on this. Why would you donwngrade by 11 Gigabytes just to gain an extra inch worth of space in your pocket. I can see going for the mini if you didn't …

I'm with Cosmo. Patience must be a KC thing. Who cares, nobody here is buying a G5 iMac at $1799 and higher anyway.
