  • US paid Apple at least $600M on foreign cash held as bonds since 2012

Bonds are necessary for the US Treasury.. Apple isn't getting a free ride with this. that 41 billion in bonds actually helps.. /shrug.. not exactly shocking or a bad thing.

Wow, a million dollars per job, that's like 100 grand a year salary for ten years.  I'm not a bit skeptical.

Yes, your sarcasm--and skepticism of politicians is warranted.  But Trump has already shown he's going to do what he says.  He's accomplished more in 1 month as PEOTUS than Obama has in 8 years actually being in office.  Trump's message is that the US is open for business.  He's going to have businesses and capital fighting to get here.  Just watch.
You're as full of shit as Trump is. He has done squat except put forth a bunch of incompetents at his side, and bribed Carrier to keep just some of their jobs here, but most are still going to Mexico. That is most certainly NOT what he promised. And to think, as Trump claims, that the investment would not have been made had he not won the election is just typical Trump BS. SoftBank already raised this money with a clear intention in mind.
Exactly.. that move got criticized, rightly so, as cronyism. What Mike Pence did was give $700 million of Indiana Tax payer money to Carrier to keep only a fraction of it's jobs here. We're PAYING companies to stay? how is that not backwards?

  • Review: Apple's 13" MacBook Pro with Touch Bar

I really, really want the 15" maxed out, but I'm opting to hold out until Feb/March to see if they do any price drops.. They usually do a small drop in the 6-12 month mark after a major release like this. They did it for new MacBook Air, Retina MacBook, and even the new MacBook, which has seen a price drop twice now.

  • iPad refresh rumored for March, featuring both iPad Pro models plus 10.9-inch size

Definitely some low prices on the 12-inch now, as who would not wait for the better screen? Not sure why you would have a 10.9 and a 9.7 fitting within the same physical form factor. If they can make it without the bezel **and it's better**, I would expect Apple to do that for all models.
Conceivably, the 9.7" could be the entry-level. The screens would be less expensive and using the same chassis would help the scale.
It could easily be they are confusing the 9.7 Pro of today with an updated 9.7 Air.. Then the 10.9 /12.9 are probably the Pro models with pen support.

Thing is, they are going by 'supply chain' info.. and while you get an idea on parts, you get NO accurate data on NAMES of products until true manufacturing ramps up on retail boxes, etc.
