    You're forgetting that Samsung bought, and then sadly killed off, the really excellent Boxee platform! I'm surprised they didn't do anything with it yet.

    It seems like Gasbuddy was updated almost every week!

    Wonder what they're doing with all that info?

    I love my Ecobee! The web interface is great and features like smart away, follow me and remote sensors are what sold me. It's been flawless. 
    Unfortunately I find the IOS app really buggy with the last 4 updates. When I move from wifi to LTE or another wifi the app opens to the registration screen. The only solution is to relaunch the app. When I open the app to see the current temperature it tells me the last temperature I set and to see the current temperature I need to relaunch the app... again. I talked with Ecobee support and their solution was to delete the app and reinstall, which didn't fix the problems. They seem to issue weekly updates of the app so hopefully they'll solve the problems. Maybe their app team is more focused on Alexa these days?
