Forty years of the Mac, the computer for the rest of us
I still to this day don’t have a fond view on Mac beginnings. It fractured Apple and killed off the Apple II line. That was “the computer for the rest of us”. The II line had a big install base in schools and homes and Apple wanted people to start over? That probably helped out the PC market. I’m even going to dare and say the IIGS was more powerful than the Mac at the time. -
Man who drove off a cliff is saved by iPhone 14
And what they didn’t tell you is Apple Maps directed him to drive off the cliff……I kid…I kid….
but Apple Maps this weekend did have me drive on a dirt road that just dead ended. I had to drive backwards about 1000ft. The couple that eventually drove up behind me (and I waved them to drive backwards) said that maps guided them that way as well.

Apple Watch rumored to get MicroLED face in 2025
I will be amazed to see Apple can get MicroLED to fit in a watch. For years, Samsung (and now it seems LG) have been trying to shrink MicroLED for displays. First it was the 146in wall. Then the Wall when to 110in, then 99in and 88. This year Samsung announced a 76in TV.
If Apple can get it down to watch size, it will help the TV and monitor display for sure..... -
