I think September and october will be key months for many products announcements/updates.

September(Paris)

? iMac

? MacMini

October (starting Xmas season shopping)

? Leopard unveil

? new Displays, thinner enclosure, maybe iSight BTO (tied to Leopard's independent resolution)

? MacPro same enclosure (new interior architecture and more powerful graphic cards)

? iPod 6G widescreen.

? iPod nano and Shuffle increase storage.

at least I hope so!

Just what I was thinking. How many "top secret" features are there? So far we've seen only two things we didn't know about before: new desktop and "new" Finder.

    And now Dashboard...from Tiger.

I think we can safely say it was it for new features at features #2.

Steve's got balls coming on stage to show these known features to developers that have been using them for almost 8 months now.

I agree completely. There's not a lot new here so far. I really hope he shows more than 10 things, because if half of the things he shows are already know, then this will be a lame WWDC.

And now #8 is some new widget? We already had new stuff about Dashboard at the last WWDC.

Oh yeah, and there's QuickLook, that's new.

So far, nothing that warranted being labelled "top secret" so that Microsoft wouldn't steal it.

I'm just glad I prepared myself for disappointment.

I prepared myself for disappointment...but not of this magnitude. What Steve is doing is insulting.

He demoed rottentomatoes with Dashboard...I would thrown a rotten tomato at him right then and there if I was at the WWDC.

Oh well...Apple won't have to update its Leopard Sneak Peek page. Bunch of wankers. Steve has sunk to a new low.

At least they are having fun playing with iChat (a program I'll probably never use).

I know, the first three features were new -- and didn't he say 300 new features? Then why show us only ten, with three "never seen before"? Kind of a dissappointment...

    Wow...what a reach.

    "Redmond start your photocopiers" ??

    This is turning into another

"Way beyond the rumor sites" kind of hyping. The iPhone better be goddam good.

Well, now that I've wasted an hour of my life, I'll go back to doing something productive and new.

No, not at all. I don't know though what people expected. This "top secret features" thing never seemed to me something more than marketing. And dangerous at that. Perhaps one or two substantially different and important things than before and that's all.
